Evesham Friends
Mount Laurel Township, Burlington County

The Hicksite schism in the Society of Friends in 1826 caused many members to withdraw and built a separate meetinghouse; in Evesham they simply added on to the existing one. This large stone building was put up in 1770 and the extension to the east sometime after 1826. During the Revolution, British troops were quartered here. This congregation was organized in 1694. National Register.
