Mt. Carmel Baptist Church
Orange, Essex County

Architecturally, this is rather an interesting church. It sits at Cleveland and Washington Streets, a block from the large Washington Cemetery. The entry porch may be a later addition to the wooden frame church, but the tower and windows suggest it was built in the 1880s or 1890s.
