Upper Springfield Meetinghouse
near Wrightstown, Burlington County

One
of the oldest houses of worship in the state, this Quaker meetinghouse
was built in 1727, the year the society was organized. It is now
a private
residence, with a large burial ground to its rear. Notice the similarity
in design and proportion to the wood frame meetinghouse in Mansfield Township, erected more than fifty years later.
National
Register.
