South
Dennis Methodist Episcopal
Church
South Dennis, Cape May County

This large wooden frame meetinghouse is in sensational condition, a
real credit to its congregation. It was erected in 1870 in a rather
stylish manner. Notice the double brackets under the pediment, the
tall slender windows and shutters, the nicely proportioned belfry,
and the little fanlight in the pediment. It's basically a Greek Revival
style building with a lot of Italianate details.
