Seventh Day Baptist Church
Plainfield, Union County
Founded in 1838, this is the congregation's third building and the second on
the site. This magnificant Romanesque Revival building was erected in
1890. O.M. Teale was the architect. Both the interior and the exterior
are unique in the state, and worth a visit by anyone with the slightest
interest in church architecture. Its predecessor, a large Italianate
building on an adjacent parcel, was built in 1866.
