First
Zion African Methodist Episcopal
Church
Paterson, Passaic County

The church was erected in 1894 by an AME congregation organized in 1850.
It is interesting to see the two entrances so widely separated. There
is a similar Presbyterian church in Trenton, but otherwise that is quite
an unusual feature. The church is not stuccoed, but I assume it was a
wooden frame building originally.
