North Vernon Methodist Episcopal Church
Glenwood, Sussex County
In 1873, there were two Methodist churches in Vernon Township;
one erected in 1837 and a larger one built in 1873. The stone
above the door says this building was erected in 1853, so you
can take your pick.
It now serves as a general store and
the name of the hamlet has been changed from North Vernon to
Glenwood.
