Emmanuel
German
Presbyterian
Church
Newark, Essex County

Yes, I know—this is really the lighthouse church in Newark's North
Ward. When it was built by a German-speaking congregation in 1897,
it was the Emmanuel German Presbyterian church. The tower and belfry
are the most distinctive elements for this modest-sized frame building.
