Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church
New Brunswick, Middlesex County

I have photographed this large red brick church several times—both before and after the restoration—but I have always had a marked preference for exterior scaffolding when photographing a church. That seems to me to anchor the image to a specific date more surely than any other sign. Yes, I agree, it does interfere with seeing what the church looks like but sometimes a good real estate shot is not what I want to put on this website. Sacred Heart was built in 1883 and the restoration dates to 2001. Patrick Keely was the architect.
