Lower Valley Presbyterian Church
Califon, Hunterdon County
Lower Valley refers to the western section of Long Valley, which was
once known as German Valley, and it stretches for many miles, east to
west, south of Schooley's Mountain. Although there are Lutheran and
Reformed churches in the valley, the Presbyterians appeared to have
prospered. The church was founded in 1870 and this classic building
erected the following year.
