Central Avenue Reformed Church
Jersey City, Hudson County

The façade of this old Reformed church contains a number of interesting elements, mostly Romanesque in tradition. The congregation was organized in 1871 and this building was erected in 1893-94. It sits on Bowers, just a block off Central Avenue and is almost unchanged from its appearance in a 1910 postcard except that it is missing the steeply peaked roof on the tower.
