Hampton Baptist church
Hampton, Hunterdon County

Founded 1831; built 1858;

The church was founded as a mission church of the Bethlehem Baptist church in 1831, and this building was erected in 1858 at a cost of $1,600. The last full-time minister left in 1904 and the congregation dwindled down to eight members. Now a private residence, it served as a funeral home after 1971 until a few years ago.
