Everittstown Methodist church
Everittstown, Alexandria Township, Hunterdon County

Organized in 1817, the congregation built their first church in 1825.
Curiously, it does not appear on Beers 1876 map of the county,
although the graveyard behind the church is marked.
This congregation was the mother church for Methodists in Quakertown,
Milford, Little York and Frenchtown. The new church, with its elongated
vertical aspect, was built in 1881.
