Deerfield Methodist Episcopal Church
Deerfield, Cumberland County

In 1868 the Methodists in Deerfield constructed this substantial frame
church. It has corner pilasters, a half-round fanlight in the pediment,
which has been emphasized, in part by heavy brackets. Like
many Methodist churches, this one might be mistaken for a schoolhouse.
