Croton Baptist church
Croton, Delaware Township, Hunterdon County

One of only three brick churches in the county, this structure was
built in 1865; it is 36 x 54 feet and originally had a spire. When the
church was organized in 1861, it drew on members from Baptist congregations
in Cherryville, Kingwood, and Flemington, plus 37 baptized converts.
There is a record which says a church existed on this site in 1844,
but there is no additional information. It currently serves as a manufacturing
site.
