FirstMethodist Episcopal Church
Branchville, Sussex County
Methodist were organized by 1820 in Branchville, but held services
with others in a union church until deciding to build their own in
1864. The frame of that church blew down before it was completed,
and it took the congregation another 24 years to begin again. This
building was erected in 1878.
