St Joseph's Catholic Church
Bound Brook, Somerset County

This is the second Catholic church built by the congregation, which
was organized about 1863; erected in 1890, it succeeds their first
building
on Mountain avenue. It follows the design of Boonton's Mt.
Carmel Catholic
church in Boonton, which is credited to Jeremiah O'Roarke, but which
clearly follows a design of Richard Upjohn. Compare it also to St.
Joseph's church in High Bridge, for a similar design, executed
in wood.
