Allerton Methodist Episcopal church
Clinton Township, Hunterdon County

Founded 1821; built 1875
This is the second church on this site; the first
one was moved across the road when the congregation outgrew it. Although
it is a relatively small structure, because of its location and the
absence of any other buildings nearby, it is very prominent to drivers
passing by on Route 31.
